Emergency Stabilization

Torrential rainfall and damaged underground utilities exacerbated a landslide at a condominium complex in Harrison, Ohio. The scarp extended to the downslope edge of the residential structure, requiring the building to be temporarily condemned. Nearly 30 residents were relocated while the necessary building stabilization and slope repair were performed.

Civil Solutions responded quickly and prepared a building stabilization design consisting of soil nails and shotcrete. Downslope of the soil nail wall, our Construction Management department coordinated all necessary utility repairs, backfill placement and slope reconstruction.
